Conditions of Shuttle Service

• There is a $50 nonrefundable reservation fee. I hope you’ll understand that we likely had to turn away others who wanted to reserve our services on the very same day. This is why you will need to cancel the support package you have reserved PRIOR to 7 days from date of service to receive a refund of the remainder. If cancellation takes place within 7 days of service date, then we will retain the entire reservation fee. This does not apply to Points Unknown Guest Suite or Tiny Cabin stays. Those cancellation policies can be found on the Points Unknown website.
• If you contact us for a last minute shuttle while on trail, with intermittent cell coverage or only satellite communication, not allowing payment to be made in advance, and you cancel, the full fee is still due as soon as cell coverage allows. Please understand that we held this spot for you and worked our busy schedule around your last minute pick up.
• Being that we live and work in a remote area, dealing with back roads, weather, wildlife and other support package guests, we will do our very best to always be on time, if not early, but know that things out of our control may dictate. Know that communication is #1. You will receive timely communication of any delays if cell coverage allows and you have provided your cell phone number on your reservation. Otherwise, please be patient. We are on the way and may have an amazing recent moose encounter story to share that delayed our arrival! True story!
• If you are delayed, we will be able to wait for 20 minutes after your reservation time. Please be in touch with us as cell coverage allows and as early as possible when you realize there is delay. Our days are tightly scheduled and we don’t want to be late for our next shuttle guest.
• We reserve the right to refuse previously paid or unpaid services to anyone suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol and anyone displaying threatening behavior or who is otherwise grossly unkind. Previously paid services will receive no refund. No smoking is allowed on the van.
• Dogs with well-behaved humans are welcome
• Please bring along exact change as cash drops are made often throughout the day and the driver will not have change for any incidental expenses
• If requesting additional services at the time of the reserved support shuttle service, your total payment will change. It can be paid at the time of service by credit card (3% fee and if cell/data coverage is available), cash or personal check
• Tipping your driver is recommended at the rate of 20% should you feel the service was sufficient to support the tip

In order to receive access to additional support menu services, you must first be a shuttle guest.

• REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS: May 1st – October 31st | 8AM – 6PM
• AFTER HOURS PICK UPS & DROP OFFS: – FREE
• Shuttle Services – Please follow above directions for your customized quote.
• No additional charge for “extra” passengers! We will take up to 7 people in your group, and three dogs, for the same price.
• Limited secure & safe parking at Points Unknown – $10/day unless included in a package
• Camping prior to and after your trail adventure – $30 per night (Limited number of dogs allowed on site at one time)
• Guest Suite (2 night min) or Tiny Cabin stays (1 night min) at Points Unknown – must be booked directly through Points Unknown at this link www.points-unknown.com/stay
• Shower available with camping – $10
• Bike transport – $10
• Canoe & Kayak transport – $30
• Supply delivery – Customized and requires a quote
• Supply drop site at our base camp – FREE
• Bike, Kayak & Canoe storage – FREE
• Van equipped with tire pump & jump starter kit for those needing this service upon arrival back to their vehicles – FREE

WHERE WILL YOU TAKE ME and/or PICK ME UP?

• Any of the Superior Hiking Trail trailheads in Cook County, MN – Please be in contact with your trip details and we’ll provide a quote
• From one end of the Border Route Trail to the other – a flat $210 includes up to 7 people and up to 3 dogs with well-behaved humans.
• Grand Portage Isle Royale Ferry Launch to and from Grand Marais – a flat $162 each way. If originating from a different location, please be in touch and we’ll provide a quote.
• Any BWCA entry point in Cook County, MN – Please be in contact for a quote.
• Any lodging accommodations in Cook County, MN – Given that Cook County has only 9% private land ownership with 91% public lands, they all are starting points to your remote access adventure!
• Grand Marais Airport
• Basically, any remote access destination in Cook County, MN!
